From June 3 to June 7 2019, the two winners of the International Pastry Contest held as part of the Alliance Month 2018 came to Institut Paul Bocuse, Lyon, France.

Following the previous editions named "The Chef Paul Bocuse Week", the Alliance Month paid tribute to Chef Paul Bocuse. One year after the passing of the chef of the century, members of the Alliance by Institut Paul Bocuse set up a range of activities and events in their own campuses to promote the work and life of Monsieur Paul. Among the highlights of the Alliance Month, a series of conferences, demonstrations, pictures exhibitions and gala dinners took place over the world last January.

It is in this way that the International Cuisine Contest and the International Pastry Contest were organized. The participative Alliance members set up the pre-selections in their campuses and elected the best team of students to represent their institution for the final. Participants were asked to realize one French revisited classical dessert and/or one French revisited classical dish.

Congratulations to Karla Salgado Vanegas and Ana Sofia Elias Cortes from ESDAI Guadalajara !
Karla and Ana Sofia won first prize with their cake named "Crème Tatin Brûlée". They both won an official certificate, an embroidered chef jacket, a cookbook as well as 5 days at Institut Paul Bocuse, Lyon France. Karla and Ana Sofia came to Institut Paul Bocuse to learn about French pastry and French bakery from June 3 to June 7 2019.
