10th Alliance Culinary Seminar in Berjaya UC

10th Alliance Culinary Seminar in Berjaya UC

From September 24, 2018 until September 28, 2018

From September 24th to September 28th 2018, the Alliance by Institut Paul Bocuse met in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the Alliance Annual Culinary Seminar.

Berjaya University College, member of the Alliance by Institut Paul Bocuse since 2016, welcomed the new edition of this yearly key event. Madame Mae Ho, Profesor Walter Wong and all the representatives of Berjaya UC worked during months to host the 2018 Alliance Culinary Seminar and offered participants an unforgettable experience in Kuala Lumpur.

The 10th edition allowed participants to explore Malaysian heritage and traditions through the experience of Malaysian multi-cultural cuisine. The seminar was the opportunity to attend various roundtable from culinary trends watching to the development of gastronomy in Chile, to discuss about the Gen Z expectations and to experience local food through culinary workshops and demonstrations. After five days based on transmission, learning and friendship, the 24 participants coming from 11 Alliance members affirmed that Berjaya University College have inspired their lives and widen their horizons.

Each fall a one-week seminar for chefs, instructors, and faculty staff is hosted by an Alliance member. This yearly meeting gives hosts the opportunity to highlight their cuisine, share their own culture and traditions, as well as transmitting new skills to partners.
