The Worldwide Alliance Board of Directors

From March 2, 2017 until March 5, 2017

From March 2nd to March 4th, the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance met in Latin America, specifically in Peru, for the Board of Directors 2017. Organized every two year in a campus of an Alliance member, this unmissable event aims to strengthen the strategy of the international growing network, build its future, and forecast its development. This year, Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola was pleased to host the event in its campus of Cusco.

For the 7th edition of the Board of Directors, eleven members of the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance gathered to attend the meeting perfectly organized by USIL. This successful and fruitful event gave attendees the opportunity to discuss, exchange, learn from each other, to better serve their students and build together the future of the network. Participants included 22 representatives from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (Peru), INACAP (Chile), Instituto Superior Mariano Moreno (Colombia), Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Université Saint Joseph (Lebanon), Universidad Panamericana ESDAI (Mexico), Institute of Technical Education (Singapore), Sol International School - Woosong University (South Korea), National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (Taiwan), and Institut Paul Bocuse (France).

During 3 days, workshops and round table discussions gave members the opportunity to brainstorm on different subjects and design a strategy in a short, middle, and long term visions. The main objective of the Board of Directors 2017 was to define the new identity of the Worldwide Alliance, enhance the community spirit, and develop added values for the future and spread of the network.

Between each working session, the 22 representatives coming from the world got the chance to discover more about Peruvian traditions and culture. At the program: show table with typical Andean products, conversation about the importance of Andean nutrition, inauguration ceremony according to the Inca civilization traditions, concert of traditional Andean group and traditional Peruvian folklore. On March 5th, 14 representatives extended their visit and lived an once-in-a-lifetime experience by going to the wonderful Machu Picchu. A journey they will never forget, a journey which transmitted the spirit of the Worldwide Alliance: Unity in Diversity.
